The "What IF" series of routes asks the same simple question, but with sometimes difficult answers.  In short, What IF certain routes either abandoned or merged in real life, existed today?  The landmark of these is called "What IF Fairford, and asks the question of what if the abandoned GWR Fairford branch survived, even in part, as a modern railway museum.  



By and large, the What IF series will allow you the user to have some fun with various ideas, and will eventually feature the FIRST true PAYWARE route found on this site.  That route, called What IF, Tallulah Falls, centers around a much loved and historic railroad in North East Georgia.  For more information, check the WITF page.
